What works in Copilot Studio?
Copilot Studio connects Nordsynk as an MCP tool over Streamable HTTP. The agent can fetch data from the Fortnox companies you have chosen and ask Nordsynk to carry out actions through Fortnox.

How to connect Fortnox to Copilot Studio

Activate Nordsynk for your Fortnox company
An administrator activates Nordsynk in the Fortnox integration marketplace. Assign a Nordsynk seat to your Fortnox user.

In Copilot Studio, open your agent, choose Tools, then Add a tool, New tool, and Model Context Protocol.

- 04
Choose OAuth dynamic discovery
Select OAuth 2.0, choose Dynamic discovery, and create the connection. Sign in to Nordsynk and approve only the Fortnox companies this agent may use.

Enable and test the MCP tool
Keep generative orchestration enabled, add the discovered Nordsynk tool, and run the verification prompt. Copilot Studio supports Streamable HTTP; do not configure the deprecated SSE endpoint.

What you need, and what we don't promise
You need
A Microsoft work or school account and an agent that uses generative orchestration.
The right endpoint
Add the Streamable HTTP endpoint. Copilot Studio does not support the older /sse endpoint, so don't use it.
Does it work with Microsoft 365 Copilot?
The setup guide covers Copilot Studio, not a direct MCP connection to the standalone Microsoft 365 Copilot app. That is why we don't promise support for it.
You control what the agent can reach
You sign in to Nordsynk and choose which companies the agent may use. The agent can only reach what your Fortnox user has permission to and the Fortnox areas the company's access policy allows.
A preview appears in your browser before every change. Nothing changes in Fortnox until you approve it.

Frequently asked questions about Fortnox and Copilot Studio
Can you connect Fortnox to Microsoft Copilot?
Yes, in Copilot Studio through its built-in MCP connection. You need a Microsoft work or school account and the agent must use generative orchestration.
Does this connection work with standalone Microsoft 365 Copilot?
Our setup guide covers Copilot Studio. It does not describe a direct MCP connection to Microsoft 365 Copilot, so we can't promise support there.
Which address should I add in Copilot Studio?
Enter https://mcp.nordsynk.se/mcp and choose Streamable HTTP. Copilot Studio does not support the older /sse endpoint.
Can the agent change records in Fortnox?
Yes, when the action is within your Fortnox permissions. By default you review and approve the change in your browser before it is carried out. A company can turn on auto-approval so changes run directly; Fortnox permissions and Nordsynk's access policy still apply.
What does the Fortnox connection cost?
The price is 199 SEK per Fortnox company per user per month. Each user needs a seat of their own in every company where Nordsynk is used. Microsoft's costs for Copilot Studio are extra.
What is Copilot Studio?
Copilot Studio is Microsoft's tool for building your own AI agents. In an agent you can add tools, for example an MCP server such as Nordsynk, so that the agent can reach Fortnox.
Can I use ChatGPT or Claude instead?
Yes. The same Nordsynk server works with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and other clients that support remote MCP with OAuth. You set up the connection separately in each assistant.
Ready to give the agent access to Fortnox?
Activate Nordsynk in Fortnox. Then follow the guide in Copilot Studio.
