How to connect Claude to Fortnox

Nordsynk runs the MCP server as a hosted service on Cloudflare Workers. Nothing to install locally. The process is: (1) activate Nordsynk in the Fortnox portal as an admin, (2) paste the Nordsynk endpoint URL into Claude Desktop or claude.ai Connectors, (3) sign in to Nordsynk by email and approve Claude's companies. Fortnox OAuth is only used to connect or reconnect individual companies, and Nordsynk stores no passwords.

A Fortnox admin activates Nordsynk once. Each user then connects from Claude Desktop or claude.ai.

Activate Nordsynk in the Fortnox portal

A firm lead or finance manager opens Fortnox and activates Nordsynk as an integration. It takes under a minute and requires no technical knowledge.

Add Nordsynk to Claude

In Claude Desktop, paste Nordsynk's endpoint into the MCP configuration. In claude.ai, go to Connectors → Add custom connector and enter the URL. No npm or local tools needed.

Sign in to Nordsynk

Claude opens Nordsynk sign-in automatically. Use your email and approve all or a subset of your connected companies — then you can start querying those companies.

Security and control

AI-client sessions authenticate to Nordsynk and carry an explicit company allowlist. Fortnox API calls still use the human user's OAuth token for that company. Nordsynk checks current access, seat status, permissions, and scopes, and logs every API call with user, timestamp, and action.
